raise your HAND if you think this is nutty
How the debacle looks to me:
Potential Etsy customer: "So, Etsy, I really love this item on your site - the seller says it's handmade but can I trust that is really is handmade (since it's on Etsy)?"
Etsy: "Well... that depends on what your definition of 'is' is"
*Sigh* I love you Etsy but I think you are heading down the wrong path here. You can choose whatever path you like of course - it's your journey - but I personally think you took a wrong turn. Just my opinion...

Hmmm maybe the shop does just barely fits the Etsy guidelines, but it sure as heck doesn't fit my idea of who should be selling on Etsy. Not even close.
I agree....makes it really hard for those of us that actually do make our own products. I am disappointed in Etsy.
Does the woman LOOK like she makes furniture? NO!
Yep, I can't believe this situation not to mention the wedding fiasco that followed. Honestly I think the CEO's response was so much more upsetting than anything the seller did (Although that was pretty upsetting too!)
I'm saddened by these developments :(
